Accessibility Statement

What we have done

• Every reading carries a text value. No bar, gauge or axis depends on hovering, and every one of them states its number next to it in figures.
• No meaning is carried by colour alone. The four functions are told apart by label, by position and by tick pattern as well as by length. There is no green-to-red ramp anywhere: a low reading is information, not an alarm, and it is drawn in the same colour as a high one.
• Contrast is measured. Body text against the panel measures 13.67:1 and against a card 12.10:1. Secondary text measures 6.18:1 and 5.46:1. The readings colour measures 8.55:1 and the still-fine colour 8.35:1. All exceed the 4.5:1 required at level AA.
• Everything works from the keyboard, in a logical order, with a visible focus ring on every interactive element and a skip link to the main content.
• Gauges are announced properly. Each one has an accessible name that reads, for example, “Cushioning: 22 out of 100 remaining”.
• Motion is optional. Where a system is set to reduce motion, animation is switched off rather than merely slowed.
• Text resizes. The layout holds together at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
• There is a print stylesheet. A drawer gets assessed all at once, so a read-out prints legibly on paper, with the segments still distinguishable in ink.
• Forms have real labels, and errors are announced rather than only coloured.

Where it is not perfect

• The read-out depends on you being able to photograph a sock. If that is difficult, write to us and describe the pair instead — we will read it with you.
• Some of the photography on this site is decorative and carries an empty alt attribute by design, so screen readers skip it rather than announcing a description of a texture.
• We have tested with VoiceOver and NVDA. If you use something else and it behaves badly, we want to hear about it.
